burks BPS Series Horizontal Stainless-Steel Multistage Pumps
Model Designation
Example: BPS 5-120/4 T. BPS is the series designation, 5 is the nominal flow (m³/h), 120 is the rated power (HP × 100), and 4 is the number of impellers; a trailing T indicates a three-phase version, and no T indicates a single-phase version.
Uses
Stainless-steel horizontal multistage pumps. Pumping of clean, non-loaded fluids in the domestic, agricultural and industrial sectors; pressurising systems; irrigation; drinking water and glycol water; water treatment; food industry; heating and air conditioning; washing systems.
Advantages
● Close-coupled and compact.
● Silent operation.
● Excellent efficiency, which reduces running costs and power consumption.
● Economical.
● Over-dimensioned bearings for a longer machine life.
● Intermediate shaft guiding stage for concentricity of rotation.

Performance Range
The chart below shows the overall working range curves of the BPS 3, BPS 5, BPS 7, BPS 9 and BPS 18 series.
Series and Models
This series comprises 5 nominal-flow series and 25 models. The flow–head performance data (output power, input power, rated current) of each model are per-model large tables and are not reproduced here; for detailed data, please refer to the user manual / selection catalogue. The models of each series are listed below. Except for all BPS 18 models and the BPS 7-350/7, which are three-phase only (with T), every model is available in both single-phase (without T) and three-phase (with T) versions.
| BPS 3 (nominal flow 3 m³/h) | 6 models: BPS 3-50/2, BPS 3-70/3, BPS 3-90/4, BPS 3-100/5, BPS 3-120/6, BPS 3-150/7 |
| BPS 5 (nominal flow 5 m³/h) | 6 models: BPS 5-70/2, BPS 5-80/3, BPS 5-120/4, BPS 5-150/5, BPS 5-180/6, BPS 5-200/7 |
| BPS 7 (nominal flow 7 m³/h) | 6 models: BPS 7-100/2, BPS 7-120/3, BPS 7-180/4, BPS 7-250/5, BPS 7-300/6, BPS 7-350/7 |
| BPS 9 (nominal flow 9 m³/h) | 4 models: BPS 9-100/2, BPS 9-150/3, BPS 9-200/4, BPS 9-250/5 |
| BPS 18 (nominal flow 18 m³/h) | 3 models: BPS 18-180/2 T, BPS 18-250/3 T, BPS 18-400/4 T |
The chart below shows the performance curves (curves 2 to 7 correspond to the number of impellers) and the NPSH curve of BPS 5 as an example.
Installation Dimensions
For the installation dimensions of each model (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, L, H1, H2, in mm), see the installation dimension table in the manual; the figure below is the installation dimension drawing for BPS 3 - BPS 5 (for BPS 7 - BPS 18, see the manual). Inlet/outlet sizes: BPS 3 and BPS 5 have 1″G for both the inlet (DNA) and the outlet (DNM); BPS 7 has 1″1/4G (inlet) / 1″G (outlet); BPS 9 has 1″1/2G (inlet) / 1″1/4G (outlet); BPS 18 has 2″G (inlet) / 1″1/2G (outlet).
